The main harbour of the Azores, Horta marina is the fourth most visited marina in the world. It's geographical location makes it a welcome stop for sailors traveling to either the Caribbean or the Mediterranean while it also boasts favourable and sheltered conditions for boats.

The marina, which has held a European Blue Flag since 1987, plays host to numerous international regattas and the town surrounding the marina is steeped in sailing tradition with a museum and an open air gallery dedicated to life on the seas.
