Docapesca - Marina da Ribeira, Peniche

The Port of Peniche is located in the southern part of the Peniche peninsula, approximately 1.5 miles ESE of Cape Carvoeiro. It is well protected from northerlies. When southerly winds blow, you can feel the sea’s presence in the marina. Coming from the north, the current in the channel between Farilhões and Berlenga drives towards the Berlenga. The channel between Berlenga and Cape Carvoeiro is usually rougher due to tidal currents. The main landmarks are the lighthouses of Berlenga- Rl(3)20s120m27M and Cape Carvoeiro- Rl(3)Vm.15s56m15M. The 120 m entrance faces SSE and is protected by two jetties; the west jetty is approximately 700 m long and the east jetty is 450 m long. Marina da Ribeira docapesca@docapesca.pt |
